With my bed made, my bedroom feels instantly clean. I love to make my bed everyday. But I don’t.

At least once a week, I purposely leave the bed unmade. This is why.

Dust mites are everywhere and they feed on our dead skin. Over 1 million dust mites hang out with us every night while we are sleeping. Gross, right?

So to get rid of them, don’t make the bed. Serious.

Dust mites thrive in moist and warm environments. Simply leave your bed unmade to alter the environment from moist and warm to cold and dry. This will kill off the bugs and allow the mattress to dry out.
