Scripture Sunday: My Five Favorite Verses For Strength

I’ve been working on a flip-book project, an idea I got from someone at prayer group. (Thanks, Mama!)

She gifted us with note card-sized flipping notebooks and section separators so that we could use it to hold all of our favorite verses. I love this!

As soon as I get it put together, I look forward to keeping it in my purse and using it daily.  I plan to have several sections in there and one of my favorites, and one I think is most important for me, is verses for strength.

These are my absolute favorite, in fact, this first one I will share with you is currently on my home screen for my phone!Screenshot_20180606-155847

The Lord will fight for you. Just stay strong. Exodus 14:14

My presence will go with you. And I will give you rest. Exodus 33:14

I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Search for the Lord and for His strength. Continually seek him. 1 Chtonicles 16:11

The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace. Psalm 29:11

I’m really loving this first verse right now.

The Lord will fight for you. Just stay strong. Exodus 14:14

It isn’t to say that you can just lay down, stop trying, quit praying, and everything will work out. No, He is saying, I’m right here next to you, with you, fighting for you. But we have to fight, too.

We have the fight the good fight. We have to keep our minds on Him, and live in peace and love each other. We have to be good to people and take care of each other. And we have to do our best in this life and remember to find our worth in Him and not in earthly things.

I just want to take the time to pray for you if you’re reading this:

Dear God, We want to thank You for being our strength. We are so blessed to be Your children and to be a part of Your beautiful plan. Please remind us to come to You with our weaknesses, so that we can become stronger in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Scripture Sunday

“But you, be strong and do not lose courage, for there is reward for your work.  “2 Chronicles 15:7

Be strong and do not lose courage, that’s good stuff. You know what I love? That God’s Cross-Imagealways got your back.
Feeling weak? He’s your strength. Nervous? He’s your courage. Overworked? You will be rewarded for that.
Well, amen! Sometimes it’s hard to be strong and courageous. But, like everything else, you must fake it ’til you make it.
Having a hard time? Turn to the bible, or the computer. You can google scriptures for determination, staying tough, or, anything you want!
Technology is such a pain sometimes. It doesn’t work right or it breaks. But you know, it’s pretty great sometimes, too. Especially if you want to grow closer with God, learn more about the bible, or share you thoughts on it (me.)
Every time I sit down to pray, write about things of faith, or learn more, inspiration strikes. Sometimes I feel stronger or clearer, sometimes more confused than ever. But it’s all good.
The more you learn, the more you know. And the more you open up, the more you will learn. The circle of life of it all is inspiring in itself.
I’ve taken steps that have led me completely out of my comfort zone and it’s a little scary. But I pray about it and that helps. I read my prayer book, and that helps. And I am faking it (hopefully about to be making it!)
Which verses speak to you? Share your favorites with me, I cannot wait to see! Happy Sunday and happy first weekend of the last month of the year!
